Subject: Extension of facilities of Salary Accounts under Defence Salary Package to the Industrial / Non-Industrial Civilian Employees.
Respected Sir,
With due regards, your attention is invited to Section 6. of the Payment of Wages Act, 1936 which stipulates that all wages shall be paid in current coins or currency notes or in both provided that the employer may after obtaining the written authorisation of the employed person, pay him the wage, either by cheque or by crediting the wages in his bank account.

It is worth to mention here that the Head of Departments / Head of Offices of the defence installations under Army, Air Force, Navy, DDP, DRDO etc. have successfully convinced all the industrial & non-industrial civilian employees to draw their wages in bank account and has got the salary account opened in nationalized bank including State Bank of India,

Further, State Bank of India grants some privileges/facilities to the holders of salary accounts under Defence Salary Package, which are mentioned in annexure of this letter. But it is painful to note that the same benefit is not being extended to civilian employees of the same defence installation.

Therefore, you are requested to take necessary action so that the industrial / non-industrial civilian employees of defence installations may also get the benefits of Salary Accounts under Defence Salary Package.
Thanking you.
Sincerely yours
Annexed: As mentioned

Pension payment for the month of March 2015 through POSB functioning under CBS: NFPE writes to DoP

Pension payment for the month of March 2015 through POSB functioning under CBS: NFPE writes to DoP
No. PF-Misc/2015
Dated 21th March, 2015
To

The Secretary
Department of Posts
Government of India
Dak Bhawn
New Delhi – 110001

Sub: Pension payment for the month of March 2015 through POSB functioning under CBS – regarding.

Madam,

Your kind attention is invited to the fact that last year on 1st April, 2014 no payment of pension could be disbursed through POSB on the request of Infosys due to some technical problems in the CBS. In fact all SB transactions were suspended on that day. Many pensioners were made to return home empty handed without drawing their pension on that day.

This year 1st April is followed by two holidays on 2nd and 3rd April for Mahavir jayanthi and Good Friday and therefore any recurrence of previous problem on 1st April will cause heavy hardships on pensioners as they could not draw their pension until 4th April, 2015.

It is therefore requested to kindly intervene in the matter to prevent any such recurrence this year and if suspension of all SB transactions on 1st April is unavoidable, then necessary instructions may please be issued to all concerned for effecting payment of pension on 31st March, 2015 itself irrespective of the fact that no payment or pension payment is normally done on the closing day of the financial year.

Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
(R.N. Parashar)
Secretary General

F. No.110242/KVS(Budget)/2014/260
Dated: 5th June, 2014
To
The Dy. Commissioner/Director I
All Regional Offices and ZIETs
Sub:- Payment of salary to Project KV officials and Contractual teachers - Reg.
Madam/Sir,

The KVS Hqr received representations regarding delay in disbursement of salary to project KV officials. From time to time, it has been emphasized that there should not be any delay in disbursement of salary to Project officials due to non receipt of funds from Project Authorities. In such situation, funds may be made available to project school on loan basis for timely disbursement of salary for the time being and later on efforts may be pursued to recover the amount given on loan. it is again reiterated that there should not be any delay in disbursement of salary to project KV officials for want of funds.

Further, to this it has also been noticed that salary to the contractual staff is not paid well on time. it is again reiterated that there should not be any delay in disbursement of salary to contractual staff.

You are hereby directed to ensure compliance of timely disbursement of salary to Project KV officials as well as to contractual staff.

Yours sincerely,
