Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination 2011 - UPSC

The result of the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2011 was declared vide Press Note dated 30th October, 2012 recommending 567 candidates in order of merit for appointment.  Result of another candidate which was withheld was also declared on 30.11.2012, taking the total recommendations as 568.

 The Commission, in accordance with Rule 16(4) and (5) of the Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2011, has also maintained a consolidated Reserve List in order of merit below the last recommended candidate in each category.

 As now sought by Ministry of Home Affairs, the Commission hereby recommends 87 candidates, which includes 14 General, 55 Other Backward Classes, 11 Scheduled Caste and 07 Schedule Tribe to fill up the remaining posts based on Central Armed Police Forces (ACs) Examination, 2011.  Ministry of Home Affairs/CAPFs would be communicating directly with the recommended candidates.

 The Candidature of 09 candidates bearing Roll No(s). 033350, 62855, 69244, 75277, 116267, 118392, 125997, 126042 and 150733 is provisional.

 The list of these 87 candidates would be available on the UPSC website i.e. http://upsc.gov.in.

 Kindly refer to my D.O. letter of even number dated 3rd October, 2012 whereby it was informed that a trial run of filling up of data about representation of SCs, STs & OBCs and Persons with Disabilities in Central Government Services as on 1st January of each year, has been initiated and it was requested to fill the data as on 1st January, 2012 on trial basis.

2.    In the month of January, 2013 workshops with representatives of Ministries/Departments were organized to facilitate and smoothen the process of uploading and submission of data and invite suggestions for improvement of the software. Now, the software has been augmented and is ready for uploading of data about representation of SCs, STs & OBCs and Persons with Disabilities in Central Government Services in respect of your Ministry/Department as on 1.1.2013.

3.    1 shall be grateful, if you could kindly instruct to get the data uploaded by 31 St March, 2013.

Subject: Grant of Night Duty Allowance on the basis of Actual Salary –        Implementation of Courts Judgements.

    The issue of payment of Night Duty Allowance based on actual salary instead of notional pay of Rs.2200/- is under consideration in the Ministry consequent of Courts judgments. Hon’ble CAT jodhpur has passed the following directions in OA No 34/2008 dated 5.11.2009:
(i)    The Night Duty Allowance shall be paid to the applicants and the similarly situated persons on the basis of the actual salary after taking out the pay structure determinants like HRA etc., which have no actual relation to the work performed and on the basis of this pay, thus arrived at, Night Duty Allowance is payable to the applicants.
(ii)    The applicants are entitled to such arrears as is applicable to them from April 2007 on the basis of actual pay thus arrived at without any interest if the amount is calculated and arrears paid to them from six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter with 6% interest.
(iii)    The O.A is allowed to the extent as aforesaid. No order as to costs.
2.     The following information is required to be submitted to Defence (Finance) for taking a conscious decision in the matter:
(i)    No. of employees eligible for getting NDA with the break-up of Industrial or Non-Industrial employees; and
(ii)    The financial implication if the proposal is implemented in favour of the petitioners only and (ii) all similarly placed personnel including the petitioners.
3.    It is requested that the above information may be furnished to the Ministry in time bound manner
